Ms. Barber joined Proeger & Associates, Inc. in 2021. She received her Master of Science in Nursing in 1998 and her Diploma in Nursing from Parkview-Methodist School of Nursing in 1990. She has been a Certified Nurse Educator through the National League for Nursing since 2012.
Her prior work experience includes 20 years of providing nursing care and educating RN students in Sarasota and Manatee counties and across the US online, with a prior decade of critical care nursing and management experience. Ms. Barber’s areas of teaching focus included management of chronic illnesses, functional health assessment, mental health, memory care and end-of-life care. She has experience navigating the range of acute care, transitional care, and extended care facilities in the community.
Ms. Barber is a member of the national Aging Life Care Association®, and currently serves on the Finance Committee for the Florida Chapter. She is an active member in the Suncoast Aging Network and enjoys volunteering for All Faiths Food Bank.
